Dear Veterans,

It is our pleasure to invite you to the 16th International Veterans Tennis Tournament in Mallorca at the Tennis Club Font de sa Cala.
When I started this event exactly 16 years ago, nobody could foresee the amazing development that this tournament would take. From an ungraded ITF tournament with 75 participants, the Mallorca Veterans Open, now a Category 1 tournament, has meanwhile become a fixed event on the ITF Circuit.
In recent years, more than 600 players from over 31 nations have taken part – thus making this event one of the most important veterans‘ tournaments in the world. Both Tennis Europe as well as the ITF have put the tournament into their calendar as an event which counts for the ITF- and European rankings.

In this 16th tournament year it is already clear that even more players from even more nations will take part. Apart from the increased prize money of 15 000 Euros there are also valuable points for the ITF- and Tennis Europe rankings to be won. However, despite this high level both county and regional players have felt as much at home in the past few years as the world-ranked players. Do not be put off from applying by the high prize money or by the world-ranking points. Veterans from the district- to the top league are just as welcome as the nationally- and internationallyranked players.
The Tennis Club Font de sa Cala, the tournament hotel as well as the tournament staff will as always do their very best to provide all the participants and their accompanying families and friends with an unforgettable tennis experience on Mallorca.
